At 9:15 on Jan. 5, the CR200J power centralized EMU, independently developed by CRRC, undertook the passenger operation task of C8304 (Kunming-Mengzi) passenger trains and started smoothly from Kunming Railway Station. This marks the beginning of green-colored Fuxing bullet train put into service. Because of its special color, this Fuxing bullet train is given a nickname “Green colossus”. In January, "Green colossus" will start transporting passenger in Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, Lanzhou and other places.
CR200J EMU is a power centralized EMU with a speed of 160 kilometers per hour in Fuxing brand strategy. The first batch of locomotives are manufactured by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. (CRRC Zhuzhou) and CRRC Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. (CRRC Dalian). CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd. (CRRC Tangshan) and CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co., Ltd. (CRRC Puzhen) provide, integrated and assemble vehicles. Times Electric provides a total of 26 electric locomotives traction and network control system, DC600V train power supply device, 10 control locomotives network control system for the vehicle factory. In addition, it also provides CMD, monitoring devices, passenger train inverters and chargers for locomotives and rolling stock products.
The research and manufacture of Fuxing EMU with different speed grades and different traction power modes is an important measure taken by China Railway Corporation to promote technology, equipment and innovation ability to lead the world and deepen the brand strategy of Fuxing. "Green colossus" is the first Fuxing EMU running on the normal speed line, which can greatly improve people's travel environment and quality, and make some normal speed lines enter the EMU era.
Times Electric received the task in November, 2018, and organized the technical, manufacturing and after-sales departments to work overtime day and night. Since the end of December, EMUs have been delivered to customers one after another. Besides, a special service guarantee team headed by General Manager Liu Kean has been established. Nearly 30 skilled technical service teams have been dispatched to stay at Beijing, Lanzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Kunming to ensure the successfully running of power-centralized EMUs.
The CR200J Fuxing EMU has successfully running on more than 20% of the continuous ramp of Kunyuhe Railway, which not only fully proves the multi-adaptability of the products of times electric, but also lays a solid foundation for the follow-up operation of "Green colossus".
