On May 23, the reporting conference on staged achievements of high-speed maglev transit system key technologies and rolling-off of the first high-speed maglev testing prototype were held in Qingdao. This project is undertaken by CRRC Co., Ltd., led by CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd., mainly participated by CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd. and Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd..
At present, the maximum operating speed of high-speed rail is 350 km/h, the cruise speed of aircraft is 800-900 km/h, and the high-speed magnetic levitation at 600 km/h can fill the speed gap between high-speed rail and air transport.

Times Electric undertakes the engineering application research task of high-speed maglev general electrical system, which is one of the main tasks of the key special project of "Advanced Rail Transit" in the 13th Five-Year Plan. Its contents include traction power supply, operation control, three-grid on-vehicle, suspension-guided eddy current braking and other key systems, covering more than 100 kinds of core products and nearly 2000 sets.
The project started in 2016. After three years of research and development, the project has completed the entire electrical system engineering program, and has achieved phased results in system integration technology, key equipment development and verification, collaborative simulation platform, test platform, manufacturing platform construction and so on. At the same time, valuable independent research and development experience has been accumulated in the design of converter drive system, linear motor design and control strategy, operation control network, safety computer, vehicle-mounted three-network and other core technologies of magnetic levitation.
According to the project plan, TIME Electric will complete the delivery of magnetic levitation prototype in 2020, and cooperate with leading units to carry out test line debugging, lay the foundation for the engineering application of magnetic levitation transportation system, and promote China's rail transit industry to seize the technical strength of the commanding heights in international competition.
