Jaime Rodriguez, Governor of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Jose Vidal, head of Sustainable Development, Noe Chavez, director of RTA, Manuel González, director of Monterrey Metro Bureau, Zhou Qinghe, the president, and Wang Qiaolin, the Deputy General Manager of CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony. According to the operation of the vehicle, it is expected to purchase another 5 trains in the future. The maximum running speed of this contracted train is 80km/h, which will be used for Lines 1, 2 and 3 of Monterrey Light Rail. The first train will be delivered in 2021.
The safety performance of the contracted vehicle reaches the highest standard of "five-star". For example, the strength performance of the car body meets the requirements of European standard EN12663, and the collision performance of the vehicle meets the requirements of European standard EN15227.
In addition to meeting the rigid requirements of high safety, the technical experts of CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. have made a series of innovative designs for green and environmental protection, humanized design, low cost and high-cost performance concerned by foreign customers.

(1) Green and environmental protection-The vehicle lighting system is designed according to European standard EN13272, and LED energy-saving lamps are used; The fresh air volume of the air-conditioning system can be automatically adjusted according to the vehicle load, and the energy consumption can be reduced by 30% -50%; Elastic wheels are used in the wheels to effectively reduce the noise of low wheel rail, which can reduce the internal and external noise of the vehicle by 2-5 decibels, and greatly improves the riding comfort.
(2) The humanized design-The passenger compartment of the vehicle is provided with a wheelchair area that conforms to local standard so as to provide assistance for the person in need; A centralized control lighting scheme is used, and the interior illumination of the passenger compartment is uniform in case of an emergency.
(3) Low cost and high-cost performance-The train design improves the flexibility of marshaling, which can be operated separately by one marshaling unit, or can be operated by two, three, or four marshaling units according to the actual operation needs, improving the vehicle operation efficiency, and effectively reducing operating costs; The train has strong curve negotiating ability with the ability to pass through the minimum radius of 25m curve, which can meet the operation needs of multiple lines, and achieve "one purchase and simultaneous use of multiple lines", effectively reducing procurement costs of the vehicle.
The contracted vehicle also uses the articulated bogie technology pioneered by CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. The technology won the Chinese Patent Gold Award in 2016 and was widely used in high-end rail transportation equipment exported by China to Turkey, Malaysia, Macedonia, and other countries, and has high safety and high economy.
